I haven't been inspired like this in a while until i got here.

I haven't walked this long in awhile. Maybe in 8 years. What a workout.

On the way down

I am just enjoying the view as i decend down the mountain top. I wish i had brought a step counter.

Heres a great view of one of the peaks.

After a few hours of walk, here I am where i started.

This temple/cave was really ancient.Poems written everywhere in the interior. A bell lord knows how long it has been there. All these temples are still active and providing the people a place of prayer.

Crossing Lake YueCheng

Here comes our ride.

Heres the cable car station.

Let me tell you, the ride was only 10 mins long but the landscape behind us was absolutely the most spiritual and peaceful scenary i have ever seen in my life.

Here we are the Ciyun Pavilion. Our journey continues.

These guys give tourists a ride up those 1000s of stairs. I can't believe they do this all day long. They charged 20RMB which was only 3 USD. What a deal. Nah, i walke d all 5 hours.

I don't blame him.

Behind me is a palace i believe called Shangqing.

This would be my getaway place to be every weekend.

Holy land of Mount Qingcheng

The entrance to Mount Qingcheng.We arrived at around 10.30am. It took us an hour to get there by car. Mt.Qingcheng is known to be a Holy Land of Taoism. It has an altitude of 2434meters high. It includes 36 mountain peaks, 8 caves and 108 scenic spots. It is known to be the birth place of Taoism.

You are looking at the back of the entrance.This will be the last thing i see again in 5 hours. LOL. Here we go! I have taken pictures along the way during the adventure and all these pictures are in order as we climb the mountain and back.

I thought it was odd they kept these two trees in the middle of the pathway but wait, theres a reason for that.Read the story behind these trees in the pic. below.Most of these trees are at least 250 yrs old.
