Day two in the city

Misty and rainy morning in the city.

Petronas Twin Towers view on the way to the embassy.

Light Rail in Malaysia.

This was my first meal. It was seven years way too long. I was so happy!!!!!

Day 2:
I spent all morning catching trains and light rails to the American Embassy to guarantee my place back in American soil when I return.

My home in Malaysia which I lived in when i was around 9 till i was 13.

My younger brother and my mom at the airport

These are shots from the camera phone. Not bad I guess. You can tell that I was ready to get off the plane.

Shots I took as I was writing in my journal.

I am back home today for the first time in 7 years. I spent a total of 27 hours on the air and in transit. It is nice to be home because I spent most of my life feeling like a foreigner in another land but yet I call it home. As I landed and walk through customs, I realized for a moment that I was a citizen and need not fill out any immigration forms nor did I have to wait in long lines. Anyway, it was good to be home.

My parents and my younger greeted me at the arrival hall. It was sooooooo good to see them. Oddly enough I felt like it was just yesterday that I had visited even though there were much changes in area I lived in.

Birthday Dinner

This year for my birthday, I had no expectations. No plans to celebrate really. However, I ended up with some beautiful dishes made in my kitchen and had dinner and wine with my closest and special friends. This dish was homemade pasta from an Italian deli, asparagus, orange roughy topped with some homemade yummy sauce.

One of my fav. Scallops!!!!!!

The scallops were over some potatoes.

This desert was one my fav. I had it for the first time and loved it.
Thanks sweetie!
